The Lucid Trail - WhoThe Lucid Trail are a new, young four piece indie rock experimental band from south east England consisting of Morgan Smith on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Thom Kissock on backup vocals and lead guitar, Nick Joy on drums & Izaak David on bass guitar.
They may be a relatively new band but they have already played alongside some of the more well known Kent bands such as Montage Of Heck & The Sons of The Lotus Machine.
‘Who’ is their first single and is a really good introduction to the band for those who haven’t seen them perform live.
The song starts with Morgan’s mellow vocals and a soft guitar riff before the drums kick in with a soft melodic beat which continues throughout the song. The song itself is the story of someone that the singer has seen and just cannot get them out of his thoughts but doesn’t know who they are. There are some really nice and relaxing instrumental parts of this song. I do feel that as nice a song as it is, there could be a bit more to the story as the song is quite short at just two minutes twenty five seconds.
This may be a short song but the tune gets stuck in your head!
It is a great summery song, perfect for chilling out in the garden with an ice cold drink. I hope that when they come to making an album, all of the songs are in a similar vein as this one. I would, without doubt, be listening to it whilst chilling in the garden.
